the right paralegal entry level job such as a file clerk, legal
secretary or a receptionist at a law firm. By working at a law
firm, no matter how small, you will get to experience how to
communicate with clients, how to work on legal documentation
and the workings of court proceedings including filing of all
court documents.
Aside from file clerks and legal secretaries, newly
graduated paralegals are also considered to be at a paralegal
entry level. Since they do not have much experience, when
hired, they are assigned with a mentor to guide and assist
them. That is why it is advisable to start at a paralegal entry
level. It increases the chances to gain more knowledge, more
training and therefore it increases the chances for more
success.
Do not be ashamed to start at the bottom. In fact, take
initiative and offer to assist with the typing, drafting and
filing of legal documents. You will gain a lot as you will be
able to familiarize yourself with the legal documents and other
correspondences. There are a lot of paralegal entry level jobs
and apply for one. Do your best at it and you will see yourself
becoming a successful paralegal one of these days.
